(AUSTIN) — Central Health is inviting the public to weigh in on its Fiscal Year 2023 budget priorities.
Central Health will hold three Community Conversations beginning this week where Travis County residents can learn how the organization is building a comprehensive healthcare system to improve the health of county residents with low income. Residents will also have the opportunity to tell Central Health staff members ideas for the FY 2023 budget.
“These Community Conversations are valuable in a couple of different ways,” said Central Health President & CEO Mike Geeslin. “It allows our staff to gather ideas from the community as to how our budget should be spent, and it allows us as an organization to be transparent about how we are responsible stewards of taxpayer money.”
Two of the three events will be live and presented in English and Spanish. The third and final event will be English only, but in addition to in-person attendance, it will also be livestreamed on Central Health’s Facebook page via Facebook Live.
Free lunch or dinner will be served at the events.
